A trip to the past

At Hawaiian Inn we have many repeat guests that have been staying with us for a while. Daytona Beach is a favorite destination of many because it offers a wide array of entertainment and endless miles of beautiful, sandy beaches. The beach started to be known as the World’s Most Famous Beach back in the 1920s and gained even more fans after the Daytona International Speedway was built. The Speedway has been hosting the Daytona 500 for more than 50 years, so it’s definitely a fan favorite attracting visitors from all over the world.

One of the great perks of Daytona beach is being able to drive and park right on the beach. Families have picnics right by their car while keeping their cooler filled with drinks and snacks in the car’s trunk. And, they’ve been doing it for a while. Check out this awesome vintage picture:
